The Association of the United States Army had a great time at Ball Park Village on August 26th to celebrate Military Appreciation Day in partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals.
This year, over 2300 people joined us to celebrate Military Appreciation Day and it was incredible! Ball Park Village served up tasty eats and Anhuesur-Busch (with help from our good friends at Lohr) provided some cool refreshing beverages before the game. We were joined by the USO, U.S. Army Recruiting, 9th BN ARCD, AT&T, Selfie with a Soldier, Climb for PTSD, the National Park Service, Edward Jones, Allstate, KFLW radio...wow... that's a lot of folks.

This important fundraiser held at Sunset Country Club raised money for our Soldier of the Year and Scholarship Fund.
The Seiler Instruments team won the day and took home the coveted eagle trophy, narrowly edging out last year's winners, J&W Software. We had a Soldier win the putting contest and he took a shot at tickets to the 2018 Masters.
The auction was incredible! TNT Auction & Estate Services led the way to raising money by selling off a helicopter ride with St. Louis County Police, a K-9 Ride-a-long, pit passes to the NHRA championships and much more.
Thanks to our players and great sponsors for making this year's tournament such a success.
At our premier event, the Leadership Awards Ceremony, spent a fantastic evening at the Missouri Athletic Club on 30 APR 2017.
This event honored the Soldiers of the Year from the 32 major commands in Missouri and Illinois along with awarding over $20,000 in scholarships to Soldiers in Uniform, children whose parents are currently serving or are veterans and children whose parents work in the defense industry.
Rocky Sickman, Prisoner of War and survivor of the Iran Hostage Crisis was our guest speaker. Ronny Bass sang the National Anthem and the USTRANSCOM Joint Service Color Guard was our Honor Guard.
We hope you can join us for the 2018 event!
The Soldier for Life mindset is a holistic approach to the military life cycle career of a Soldier. The U.S. Army takes care of teammates by ensuring Soldiers start strong, serve strong, and reintegrate strong so they remain Army Strong serving their communities after they leave the Army. The U.S. Army's strategic imperative of sustaining the All Volunteer Army is directly affected by how well the veterans reintegrate back into the communities. Gen. George Washington said,
"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation."
From being members of our local chapter to donating items for our events, we couldn't do it without our Corporate Partners. Support from companies like these are the backbone of strong financial support to our Soldiers and their families. AUSA’s Corporate Members are local businesses, large corporations, civic groups, veteran’s organizations, societies and local community groups.
This program provides Corporate Members the opportunity to demonstrate to the community that they support Soldiers and their families while strengthening their own business opportunities for as little as $150 per year.
Your membership in the AUSA is what makes events to support Soldiers, veterans, retirees and their families possible like our annual Leadership Awards Ceremony where we recognize the Soldiers of the Year from Missouri & Illinois and award scholarships to outstanding students. Our members are also the driving force behind Military Appreciation Day at Busch Stadium where we feed over 1200 Soldiers before the game.
We are THE Association of the United States Army. We are your professional organization for keeping you current on issues that affect you and your family. Membership is only $30 for 2 years or $300 to be a life member.
